A casual sms with Huixuan turns out to be quite serious regarding our future.
(don't get the wrong idea, we are not together) She asked me: 'do you think you hv learn enough in RP to start working outside after graduation?"
(something like that along the line but forget the exact que)RP is a good school, but i think the big problem is PBL(problem based learning). sometimes, it's kind of irritating because facilitators won't teach u how to do things, but tell u to read resources. sometimes it's irrelevant, sometimes yes and the PBL system really kills. it can make someone who want to learn to get lazy because the system is really slacking, and cause those slackers not to learn anything at all. it depends on self motivated heavily. if u want to learn more, u will take extra courses outside school, attending workshops hardcore-ly, or basically go an extra mile to learn more things and to be better. (im referring to my diploma and my school, not for other course/schools)i thought of taking another diploma after my NS in TP design school, dip in moving images, but it's kind of waste if i get 2 diplomas. some people told me that i should go university for degree instead of a diploma when i've already got one. but whatever choice i choose, i will still get restricted to the amount of savings and money that i have. my parents don't have much left, and if my brother is going to poly, the burden is even larger. i can't afford to study poly together with my brother and chances are, i will be working. (99.99999999999999999999999999999% >.<)i wonder how my future lies man.
and Huixuan, you ought to make your choice and go for it.RP is not a bad place, but you will have work extra hard, trust me on this, i'm your senior =DLabels: i think i'm not trying hard enough
